A terrace that becomes a room, a retreat, a natural stage
In the heart of the city, Casa U.P. tells a new story of outdoor living: a terrace transformed into a space to inhabit every day, with the same care dedicated to interiors.
Seed Homecoming approached this project as a true extension of the home, curating its functionality, aesthetics, and harmony with the urban surroundings.
The project included the selection of outdoor furnishings and the creation of custom-made elements, designed to blend with historic architecture and lush greenery, with colours and light that shift throughout the day.
Durable materials, vibrant colors, guaranteed comfort
At the heart of the project is the furnishing: an elegant combination of green and yellow — hues chosen to create contrast with the flooring.
The sofa, upholstered in a soft light green, is paired with armchairs and poufs in a rich yellow tone, composing a vibrant yet refined palette — perfect for a space that shifts with the changing light throughout the day.
The selected furnishings — weather-resistant and exceptionally comfortable — were arranged to create two functional zones:
an open-air dining area with a coordinated table and chairs, and a more relaxed corner designed for conversation and reading.
Brown-toned slatted decking and a system of shade sails complete the setup, ensuring both protection and aesthetic continuity.
A vertical garden that connects living and nature
A distinctive feature of the project is the vertical garden — a green backdrop that evolves over time and visually anchors the relaxation area.
More than a simple planted wall, it is a landscape gesture that adds depth, freshness, and texture to the space.
The selected plant species reflect seasonality, the rhythm of fullness and emptiness, and bring nature into the heart of the city.
Ornamental plants, small trees pruned with geometric precision, and a carefully composed arrangement of pots and greenery complete the atmosphere — creating a true urban oasis that feels both intimate and alive.
Designing outdoor spaces with the same care as interiors
Seed Homecoming oversaw the project down to the finest detail — from the selection of furnishings to the design of custom planters, all the way to the functional layout of the space.
Casa U.P. demonstrates how even a compact surface can become a fully livable space when approached with vision, expertise, and aesthetic sensitivity.
Every choice follows a logic, every element carries meaning — nothing is left to chance.
The terrace has been transformed into an additional room: a space to enjoy freely during the warmer months and to contemplate throughout the year.
